Morag MacIntosh

Morag is a Specialist in Family Law in our Court Department dealing with all aspects of Family and Child law including Divorce and Separation. Morag is a qualified Collaborative Lawyer. Morag is a very experienced court lawyer having dealt with many complex Child and Family law cases over the years. She is regulary appointed by Sheriff’s as  an independent Child Welfare Reporter.  As a member of the Family Law Association, Morag is committed to resolving disputes in a way which minimises where possible negative financial and emotional consequences for separating families.

Alison Martin

Alison is one of our Residential Conveyancing Directors in the office with over 20 years of experience in both Conveyancing and Estate Agency and is joint Managing Director and also Director in charge of our Property and Lettings Departments.

Peter Mason

Peter deals in all aspects of both Residential and Commercial Conveyancing. Born and brought up in Inverness, he joined Mac & Mac in 1995 and is now Joint Managing Director. He holds the Financial Planning Certificate and also the Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice of the Chartered Institute of Bankers in Scotland. He is also the firm’s Money Laundering Reporting Officer and Cashroom Manager.

Lindsay Bishop

Lindsay is the Director heading up our very busy Residential Conveyancing Department. Lindsay joined Mac & Mac in 1997 and specialises in all aspects of domestic conveyancing and residential leasing. Lindsay frequently represents clients in the buy to let and development sectors and has considerable experience in the field of domestic conveyancing. In addition to Lindsay’s legal knowledge and expertise, she takes a practical and pragmatic approach to matters, and has the ability to identify key issues and explain matters to her clients in a clear and concise manner

Corra Irwin

Corra’s areas of expertise include all aspects of commercial conveyancing (including site assembly and development sales), commercial leasing, buying and selling of businesses and providing general business advice. She also advises on loans and securities. Corra has a particular specialisation in Housing Association Work and affordable housing structures.. She also advises on all aspects of charity law, including the formation of charities and third sector organisations, requirements to obtain charitable status, governance, wind-ups, amalgamations/ mergers and charity re-organisations. Corra also has extensive experience in community asset transfers and associated funding. She regularly provides advice on the setting up of trading subsidiaries for charities and advises charity trustees on their duties and responsibilities under charity law. She is a former Honorary Secretary of the Inverness Civic Trust, a former Secretary of the Faculty of Solicitors of the Highlands and had served as a BID board member.

Fiona Campbell

Fiona is recognised as an expert family lawyer. She is accredited by the Law Society of Scotland as a Family Law Specialist and a Family Law Mediator. Fiona is also a qualified collaborative lawyer. She regularly appears in the Sheriff Court on behalf of her clients and enjoys a significant dispute resolution practice as well. She is one of the first Family Law Arbitrators appointed in Scotland. Fiona also is a solicitor member of the Scottish Civil Justice Council Family Law Committee.

Fiona is passionate about achieving fair and equitable financial settlements for her clients as well as achieving positive outcomes for children.

Katrina Ashbolt

Katrina initially trained and worked in our Residential Conveyancing Department before transferring to our Corporate and Commercial Department a number of years ago and now specialises in all aspects of commercial property transactions as outlined above. Katrina has developed a particular expertise in assisting developer clients to deliver developments of properties along with the National Housing Trust under the flagship mid -market rent scheme. Katrina has also worked very closely with our firms estate agency department to grow, and make clients more aware of, our commercial estate agency service.

Graham Laughton

About:
Graham moved to Inverness in 2010 after 13 years studying, training and working in Glasgow (with one year studying In France). Initially specialising in personal injury law and fatal accident claims, he has expanded his case load to include a broad range of dispute resolution services.

Graham has a good understanding of rural and island life, having been born and educated in Orkney, where he still regularly spends time on the family farm. He frequently represents landowners in boundary, access and other disputes and business owners seeking to enforce payment and other contractual obligations or to defend unfounded claims made against them.

He has a busy caseload advising individuals on claims arising from personal injury and death as well as disputes about wills and inheritance.

Jenna Thomson

Jenna is a Family Law Specialist, accredited by the Law Society of Scotland. A Director in Macleod & MacCallum’s well respected family law team, Jenna is known for her conscientious approach and her straightforward, pragmatic advice.

As well as being collaboratively trained, Jenna regularly appears in courts across the Highlands and Islands and in Moray. Jenna is an experienced litigator, who is also regularly appointed by Sheriffs as an independent Child Welfare reporter in family law cases.

Jenna advises on all aspects of family law, including divorce, separation and the financial matters arising, child law, prenuptial agreements, and protective orders ( interdicts / non harassment orders).

Scott Dallas

Scott was appointed as a Director in April 2020 and is Head of our Private Client department. He joined Macleod & MacCallum in 2010 as a trainee solicitor, training in our residential conveyancing, corporate & commercial and court departments. After qualifying in 2012, Scott worked principally in our Court department dealing with family/child law and general civil litigation for a number of years and thereafter moved to our Private Client department. He primarily deals with Wills, Powers of Attorney, Inheritance Tax/later life planning, Guardianships and Executries.

Gemma McClelland

Gemma joined Mac & Mac as an Associate in January 2019 and became a Director in October 2023.  Gemma is based in our Residential Conveyancing Department and deals with a wide range of matters. Gemma has extensive experience in all aspects of residential conveyancing including, plot/land purchases, Buy to Let, Help To Buy and LIFT purchases.  Gemma also deals with short-term let licence applications on behalf of our clients.

Evelyn Crate

Evelyn joined Macleod & MacCallum as an Associate solicitor in February 2020 and is based in our Skye office. Evelyn moved to Skye in 2014 after obtaining her Diploma in Professional Legal Practice from the University of Edinburgh. Evelyn provides advice on crofting law, residential conveyancing, Wills and Powers of Attorney. She is also a Notary Public.

Tomas Simpson

Tomas is currently a solicitor who works as part of our Residential Conveyancing team. Tomas initially joined Macleod and MacCallum as a trainee solicitor in the summer of 2016 having completed his Undergraduate Law Degree and Diploma in Professional Legal Practice at the University of Aberdeen. During his time at university, Tomas was a fully qualified Generalist Adviser at the Citizen’s Advice Bureau in Aberdeen. Tomas is no stranger to the Highlands, having originally been brought up in Thurso before moving to Inverness and attending school at the local Millburn Academy.

Aidan Grant

Born in Inverness and attending Millburn Academy, Aidan completed both his Undergraduate Law Degree and Diploma in Professional Legal Practice at the University of Glasgow before moving back home. Aidan then joined Macleod and MacCallum as a Trainee Solicitor in 2016, becoming a fully qualified Solicitor in 2018 and now works as part of our Residential Conveyancing team.

Laura McCarthy

Laura joined Macleod and MacCallum as an Associate Solicitor in April 2023 and works within our Family Law team.  Laura qualified as a Solicitor of England & Wales in January 2008, qualifying in Scotland in 2015.  Laura was born and raised in Sheffield, attending University there to study Law.  As a result of her husband’s role as a Soldier in 3 Scots (The Blackwatch) Laura relocated to Inverness in 2017.  Laura’s aim is to deliver straightforward and practical advice to clients in an environment where they feel at ease.  Laura is a keen football fan, and former season ticket holder at Sheffield Wednesday F.C.  She attends as many games as possible when visiting family in Yorkshire.  Laura can otherwise be found out and about on countryside walks with her Jack Russell, Monty.

Scott Kenyon

Born and raised in Inverness, Scott obtained his Undergraduate Law Degree and his Diploma in Legal Practice from the University of Strathclyde before moving back home to Inverness in order to commence his legal career. Scott joined our Corporate & Commercial Department in 2023 and will be working with and assisting our two directors in the Department on all aspects of commercial conveyancing and corporate matters for our clients.

Gemma Johnston

Gemma is a Solicitor within our Court Department, having joined Macleod and MacCallum in June 2019 and undertaking her traineeship with the Family Law Team.  Gemma was born in Inverness, and then attended the University of Aberdeen where she completed both her Undergraduate Law Degree in 2018 and Diploma in Professional Legal Practice in 2019. Outside of work, Gemma enjoys travelling, spending time with her friends and family, and walking her Cavapoo.

Charlotte MacCulloch

Charlotte is a paralegal in our court department. She joined Macleod and MacCallum in September 2019 and completed a period of independent study with the University of Law, obtaining a Certificate of Performance in Specialist Paralegal Studies in Civil Court Practice in Scots Law in February 2023. Charlotte specialises in debt recovery and assists with personal injury claims and commercial disputes. She enjoys the busy and varied role that civil court work provides. Outside of work, Charlotte enjoys playing the fiddle and spending time with family, friends and her cocker spaniel Milo.

Sarah-Anne Gow

Sarah Anne is the manager in our Residential lettings department, and deals with a wide range of rental property issues. Joining Mac and Mac in 2001, she began her time with us in our Property department before moving over to lettings. Our very busy lettings team deals with both factored and non factored properties.

Karen MacGillivray

Karen has worked within the Lettings industry since 2013 and during that time has gained vast experience in all aspects of Lettings. Karen’s role includes carrying out rent appraisals, marketing properties, carrying out viewings, preparation of tenancy agreements, processing of rental payments, carrying out property inspections, dealing with deposit disputes and arranging any maintenance required dealing with both factored and non-factored Landlords. Karen regularly attends local training courses held by Landlord Accreditation Scotland and Scottish Association of Landlords and is working towards a SCQF Level 6 Award in Residential Letting and Property Management Scotland.

Gemma Duncanson

Gemma works in our busy Lettings department where she deals with both landlords and tenants on a day to day basis, and contributes the general running of the department. She manages a portfolio of properties which includes the preparation of tenancy agreements and carrying out viewings and inspections at properties. She also carries out rent appraisals with potential new clients advising on all aspects of renting a property.

Rebekah Williams

Rebekah has most recently joined our lettings team as our letting’s assistant. Rebekah has successfully completed the Charted Institute of Housing Level 3 Certificate in Letting and Managing Residential Property along with 4 years’ experience in lettings. Day-to-day Rebekah deals with landlords, tenants, and contractors. She also assists our letting negotiators by helping with viewings and inspections.

Janette Dillon

Janette joined Mac&Mac in 2007 having come from a back ground in Property and Finance. On a daily basis she visits properties, providing an initial value, taking photographs and details to prepare brochures. She deals with all aspects of the sale in order to achieve the best possible price for our clients.

Emily Barclay

Emily joined Macleod & MacCallum in 2015 and now works in our busy Property Department as a Sales Negotiator. She manages her own portfolio of properties across the Highland region, ensuring the best price is achieved for her clients. Emily has a keen interest in the property market and enjoys dealing with all aspects of her role.

Lauren works within our property department as a property assistant. Lauren’s role primarily involves setting up viewings, dealing with any property related enquiries/feedback and arranging for the marketing details to be placed online. She enjoys the variety of the role and dealing with different clients.

Rory Carson

Rory is currently a solicitor in our Residential Conveyancing Department, having joined Macleod and MacCallum in June 2019. Rory is a keen sports fan and spends most of his winter weekends on the rugby pitch playing for Highland RFC, while in the summer months he can generally be found on the golf course.

Ross Martin

Originally from Glasgow, Ross relocated to Inverness in 2018 following the completion of his LLB and Diploma in Professional Legal Practice at the University of Glasgow.  Ross began training as a paralegal at Macleod & MacCallum before commencing his legal traineeship in 2019.  He is now a solicitor and primarily deals with Wills, Powers of Attorney, Guardianships and Executries.  Outside of office hours, Ross can be found running around Inverness. 

Elizabeth Wilson

Originally from Cardross, Elizabeth completed her Undergraduate Law Degree, Diploma in Legal Practice, and traineeship in Dundee, before relocating to Inverness in 2017. Elizabeth is a solicitor and joined Macleod & MacCallum in 2022, having previous experience in residential conveyancing. She primarily deals with Wills, Powers of Attorney, Guardianships and Executries.

Lisa McIntyre

Lisa works in our Private Client Department and specialises in Executries and Guardianships. Lisa is a Law Society Registered Paralegal and holds a Certificate of Performance in Specialist Paralegal Studies. Lisa is also a qualified Scottish Law Accountant.

Siobhan Nicholson

Siobhan joined Mac & Mac in 2018 as part of the Administration Team. In July 2021, Siobhan began her training as a Paralegal in the Private Client team focusing on Executry work. In May 2023, Siobhan completed her studies with the University of Law, obtaining a Certificate of Performance in Specialist Paralegal Studies in Wills, Trusts and Executries in Scots Law.  In her spare time, Siobhan enjoys spending time with family and friends, and walking her dogs.
