2023 saw a slight slowdown in the property market, with the number of sales in the Highlands down 19% compared to the previous year. However, prices have remained stable, with prices in the Highlands increasing by 1.9% in 2023. Our average achieved price exceeded the Home Report value by 2.9% last year.

Going forward, there are predictions for a reasonable upturn in the market, with perhaps a 4% increase in the number of sales and prices increasing by something in the region of 1.5%. There will be a number of factors affecting the market conditions, but these rises will no doubt be partly due to the ongoing reduction in interest rates and inflation hopefully continuing to decline in line with government predictions.
