Katrina L Ashbolt
Katrina joined Macleod & MacCallum in 2004 as a Trainee Solicitor. She has spent a considerable amount of time in our Domestic Conveyancing Department, gaining a wide range of experience in this area, and is now an Associate in our Corporate & Commercial Department, dealing with all aspects of commercial conveyancing transactions; including purchases, sales and commercial leases. Katrina regularly acts on behalf of our Housing Association clients and other large commercial organisations.

Chris Wallace
Chris qualified as a Solicitor in England in 1986 and practised there for some 23 years, providing legal services for mainly elderly and retired clients. During that time he developed an area of expertise in the drafting of Wills and Powers of Attorney, Inheritance Tax planning and dealing with the administration of estates. Chris joined Macleod & MacCallum in 2008 and having re-qualified as a Solicitor in Scotland he is now based in our Private Client Department specialising in Wills, Powers of Attorney and Inheritance Tax Planning, but also being able to provide advice in connection with executries. In view of his background and extensive experience he is particularly well placed to advise not only established local clients but also those who have recently moved to the Highlands from England.

Gail C Jamieson
Gail has been a qualified solicitor since 1999 and joined Macleod & MacCallum in November 2010. She trained in Aberdeenshire, joining a large North-East law firm in 2001 to run one of their branch offices. With a background in conveyancing, trusts and private client work, Gail moved to Inverness in 2005, and since that time has assisted clients with a wide variety of rural land law issues, focusing on crofting, agricultural law and Scottish Land Court cases. She is a member of the Crofting Law Group.

Graham R. Laughton
Graham qualified with a European law degree from Strathclyde University in 2000. Since then he has worked for two of Scotland’s largest reparation firms, joining Macleod and MacCallum in 2010. He has acted for many of the largest insurance companies in Europe as well as other businesses and individuals in a variety of court actions. He regularly appears in the Sheriff Courts and conducts litigation in the Court of Session and he is the Firm's main point of contact for employment law matters. Recent highlights include a successful appeal to Scotland’s Supreme Civil Court in a case involving severe injury to a passenger in a car accident and negotiating out of court settlements in personal injury actions worth hundreds of thousands of pounds. Graham is accredited by the Law Society of Scotland as a Specialist in Personal Injury Law. He also conducts other civil business, including property damage cases, contractual disputes and health and safety litigation.
