Peter Mason is the Partner in charge of our Private Client Department.

Chris Wallace (Associate)

Chris qualified as a Solicitor in England in 1986 and practised there for some 23 years, providing legal services for mainly elderly and retired clients. During that time he developed an area of expertise in the drafting of Wills and Powers of Attorney, Inheritance Tax planning and dealing with the administration of estates. Chris joined Macleod & MacCallum in 2008 and having re-qualified as a Solicitor in Scotland he is now an Associate in our Private Client Department specialising in Wills, Powers of Attorney and Inheritance Tax Planning, but also being able to provide advice in connection with executries. In view of his background and extensive experience he is particularly well placed to advise not only established local clients but also those who have recently moved to the Highlands from England.

Hazel Stewart (Paralegal)

Hazel is a qualified Scottish Law Accountant and has an HNC in Accounting. Hazel joined Macleod & MacCallum in 1985 and became a member of the Private Client Department in January 1996. Hazel has extensive experience in all aspects of executry and guardianship administration.

Lisa Macaree (Paralegal)

Lisa joined Macleod & MacCallum in 2007 and is based in our Private Client Department dealing with Executry Administration and Guardianships. Lisa has an MA (hons) degree in Management and Business Law from Heriot Watt University, Edinburgh. Lisa also has a Specialist Paralegal Qualification in Wills, Trust & Executries from Strathclyde University and has recently completed the SOLAS Diploma. Lisa will be admitted as a full member of SOLAS at the AGM at the beginning of November and will thereafter be a Scottish Law Accountant.
